Marriage License

Marriage licenses must be obtained from the Town Clerk in the town in which the ceremony is to be held for a fee of $50.00.

When applying for a license, both parties must appear, provide DMV or passport identification, and attest and sign the license. A completed marriage worksheet is submitted to the Town Clerk. The Town Clerk will prepare the license from the worksheet, so be prepared to answer questions about where you were born, where your parents were born, your mothers full maiden name, the date and place of your ceremony as well as who will be officiating.
