The North Central District Health Department inspects restaurants and other food service establishments, homes, schools, convalescent homes and other institutions working to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Review, test and approve new septic systems as well as a review and approval of system repairs and/or expansion. Test drinking water, paint samples for lead. Investigates complaints in regard to public health hazards.
