Stafford Conservation Commission Mission is :
To work to promote sound land use practices in conjunction with our town, county and state agencies and commissions.
To increase public awareness of the ecology.
To promote community responsibility and awareness of our conservation needs and to encourage outdoor activity.
The public is welcome to attend commission meetings. The meetings are held at the Warren Memorial Town Hall. Check the Meeting Calendar for dates. The minutes and agendas are posted every month in the Town Clerk's Office and on this website.
Volunteers are welcome. The Commission consists of 11 members and 3 alternate members.

CLEAN UP GRANT RECEIVED FOR WORKDAY
The Stafford Conservation Commission is please to announce we have received a grant from The Last Green Valley, Inc. (TLGV) for 2012 Earth Month or River Cleanup.
The Stafford Conservation Commission is sponsoring a cleanup in two different locations, the Woodlawn Trail in Hyde Park and the Willimantic River Canoe Launch on Route 32. Our scheduled workday is Saturday, May 19, 2012, 9 am - noon.
Volunteers should meet at the Woodlawn Trail entrance, behind old Witt School in Stafford. This cleanup is funded in part by The Last Green Valley. The Last Green Valley, Inc., (TLGV) is a member-supported non-profit organization working locally to preserve the irreplaceable land, water, and cultural resources of the region.
Gloves, trash bags, water and lunch will be provided. Volunteers are welcomed. For more information, contact Lise Hubbard at lisehubbard@yahoo.com.
