Stafford Budget Approved

By a vote of 672 YES to 443 NO, the Town of Stafford budget was approved May 25, 2016, at a referendum held at the Stafford Public Library.

The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) announced a new toll-free number connecting residents seeking treatment and services for an opioid addiction to local walk-in assessment centers. Residents will now be able to call 1-800-563-4086, 24 hours a day, to connect them or a loved one to a walk-in assessment center in their area. [More Information]

Memorial Day Parade

A long standing tradition in Stafford is to honor a Veteran in five of our local cemeteries with a brief service. These Veterans have been selected on the list below with their Veteran markers. (see pictures). In 2015 at the Staffordville Cemetery a family approached our committee in conclusion of the ceremony with a family member they wanted to honor this year, we were unable to contact this family, we are hoping they will come forward for next years' service. If you have a Veteran that you would like the Town of Stafford to honor in 2017, please send that information to rita@legion26.org. Crystal Lake Beach Passes are now available

Crystal Lake Beach Passes are now available on a first come basis. Stafford is allowed 50 passes for Stafford residents. The Town of Ellington has set a fee of $55.00 per family. Animal Control Unlicensed Dog Survey

STAFFORD, CT- The Stafford Animal Control Department would like to notify residents that a survey of unlicensed dogs will be conducted. Pursuant to the Regulations of State Agencies Section 22-349-1, Animal Control Officers will be contacting residents at random beginning this month. Jazz in the Park Summer Concert Series

The Jazz in the Park summer concert series begins Wed May 4th in the Haymarket Common located on Main St Stafford Springs, the concert begins at 6:30pm to 8:30pm and will feature the Blue Skies Big Band, a 20 pieces jazz big band playing swingin standards in the style of Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Bobby Darin, etc. This is a free event sponsored by Wayne and Jean Pisciotta Rentals LLC. Be sure to stop by and enjoy the music. The concert series continues throughout the summer on the first Wednesday of the month, hope to see you there!!! Rain location is the Stafford Palace Theater, this is a rain or shine event.
