By a vote of 672 YES to 443 NO, the Town of Stafford budget was approved May 25, 2016, at a referendum held at the Stafford Public Library.

Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services
The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) announced a new toll-free number connecting residents seeking treatment and services for an opioid addiction to local walk-in assessment centers. Residents will now be able to call 1-800-563-4086, 24 hours a day, to connect them or a loved one to a walk-in assessment center in their area. [More Information]

A long standing tradition in Stafford is to honor a Veteran in five of our local cemeteries with a brief service. These Veterans have been selected on the list below with their Veteran markers. (see pictures). In 2015 at the Staffordville Cemetery a family approached our committee in conclusion of the ceremony with a family member they wanted to honor this year, we were unable to contact this family, we are hoping they will come forward for next years' service. If you have a Veteran that you would like the Town of Stafford to honor in 2017, please send that information to firstname.lastname@example.org. The Parade steps off at 11:AM Sharp after the Main Flag is raised to full staff. We will try to place petroleum vehicles behind marchers. At the conclusion all marchers and vehicles are to exit Route 32 into the American Legion Parking lot. No parking on Route 32.
