FUNDAMENTALS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP In partnership with the Connecticut Economic Resource Center, Inc. (CERC) and the Connecticut Economic Development Association (CEDAS), the Town of Stafford will be conducting a unique municipal economic development training on Thursday, September 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Stafford Library. Extreme Heat Caution

Everyone please be aware of the dangers of the extreme heat that we will be experiencing in the next few days. The Town of Stafford Library will be open today from 10:00 am- 5:00pm, it has air conditioning for those that need to get relief from the heat. The Library will be closed tomorrow, Sunday, but will reopen on Monday with hours of 10:00am- 8:00pm. Please feel free to use this facility as a cooling center if needed. If further accommodations, when the library is closed, are needed please dial 2-1-1 for information regarding the closest cooling centers. Phone Scams-Dont be a Victim!

The Stafford Resident Troopers office is warning citizens of Stafford of several phone scams that are targeting citizens of Stafford. If you receive a call from someone stating they are from the IRS and ask you to send money or gift cards, this is a scam! DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING. The Stafford Resident Troopers office is currently investigating phone scams of victims that reside in the town of Stafford. The scam is someone acting a family member who is in trouble and needs money. At no time will any judicial system in any State ask for any type of gift card for court set bonds. Prior to sending any money via Western Union to anyone in regards to a family member, please contact that family member to verify the information you received on the telephone call. In most circumstances those telephone calls are scams. If you’re still not sure contact the Stafford Police department and they will assist you in determining if it is a scam. Please contact the Stafford Resident Troopers office at 860 684-3777 or the First Selectman's Office at 860-684-1777 with any questions.

Stafford Rotary Presents: Farm Day 2018 [More Information]

Leonard Road Bridge Closure

The Connecticut Department of Transportation has ordered the Town of Stafford to discontinue use of the Leonard Road Bridge. This bridge is located on Leonard Road between TTM and the Mill Pond Store. The bridge will remain passable for pedestrian travel only and will exclude vehicle traffic until repairs are complete. The extent of needed repairs as well as the length of closure is uncertain at this time. For additional information please contact Richard Zulick at the Department of Public Works at (860) 684-3448.
