SCADA Initiative
The Stafford Coalition Against Drug Abuse – SCADA - is an active alliance working to reduce and prevent substance use and abuse in the Town of Stafford and neighboring communities.

Leonard Road Paving

Leonard Road upper part from Lamb Road to the Mass Line and Moulton Hill Road. In preparation for paving, and weather permitting, we will start grinding the road today (5/14). Paving is planned for later this week. We should finish the project next week. Please plan travel in the area accordingly, and as always, please be considerate of our DPW working team!

Living History of the American Revolution

Saturday, June 1 from 11am-4pm at Heritage Park (3 Stafford Street). Experience the American Revolution from a very different point of view and hear stories from Peters Corps, the Queen's Loyal Rangers. Stationed within Heritage Park, reenactors will share accounts of our nation's beginning with an engaging living history presentation. The program feature weapons demonstrations, field tactics, drill, and visitor engagement. Stafford Memorial Day Parade & Programs

Annual Stafford Memorial Day Parade and Programs are to honor our armed forces and those who have given their lives for our country. Please join us in saluting these heroes. Cemetery memorials begin at 7AM-9AM and the parade steps off at 11AM sharp. [More Information]

Crystal Lake Beach Passes 2019

The Ellington Parks and Recreation Commission has set a fee of $65.00 Per family for Stafford residents in order to renew or secure a 2019 beach pass. [More Information]

Stafford Memories Writing Project

Stafford Memories Writing Project The Stafford 300th Anniversary Committee and Stafford Public Library are now seeking submissions for “Stafford Memories,” a collaborative community writing project. The group hopes to collect memories and anecdotes about Stafford, with stories inspired by ordinary life, funny incidents, specific town events or warm reminisces of your childhood, among others. The BOS, BOF, and WPCA have proposed a 6.50-million-dollar bond package for town infrastructure. In this package there is a variety of projects including road repairs, bridge replacement, sidewalks, sewer line replacement and pump station rebuild. This proposal has raised some concerns and prompted comments on social media. [More Information]
