Construction Activities on Main Street

Ongoing Connecticut Department of Transportation construction activities have resumed on the roundabout and surrounding area at the intersection of Rt 190 and Rt 32 (effective 04/15/24). The limits of the project have been extended from the intersection of Main Street and Spring Street to approximately 91 Main Street.

Week of April 29 Updates:

  • Main Street will undergo an alternating lane pattern from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on April 30 to May 2.
  • Drainage work will take place around Town Hall on Wednesday, May 1, and Thursday, May 2. While the Town Hall parking lot will remain accessible, parking spaces will be limited during this period.

DOT Project No. 0134-0148/0152 was awarded to Paramount Construction LLC at a cost of $3,134,629.86 on January 11, 2023 and is currently scheduled to be completed mid-summer 2024. The correct contract amount is $3,596,902.84. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
